Creative Learning

We try to match learning to the child's preferred style of learning. This means that for the majority of lessons we try to make learning as inventive and practical as possible, involving the child's interests to help them engage with the learning. As you will see below in the pictures - lego and dinosaurs are used extensively. Whilst playing, children make up stories and these can be recorded and then the videos can be used to create written word. It gives the children ownership of their own learning.

We have used Lego to make films and then written scripts, comics or practiced using speech marks.

Practical activities are always useful to help children understand a concept, helping them to have fun as they learn.

I try to use the outside area or garden to retell stories and inspire imagination and storytelling skills.
